Dr. Ken Lord

Dr. Lord is a native of Southern Utah. He obtained his Bachelor’s of Science from Southern Utah University graduating in 2000. He also joined the Utah National Guard in 1999. Dr. Lord then attended medical school at the University of Utah and went on to complete an internship in internal medicine at the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona. From there, Dr. Lord completed a three-year ophthalmology residency at the University of Missouri in Kansas City (UMKC). He then remained at UMKC and completed a two-year vitreo-retinal surgical fellowship.

Dr. Lord is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Retina Specialists, the American Medical Association, Utah Ophthalmology Society, and the Society of Military Ophthalmologists. Dr. Lord is board certified through the American Board of Ophthalmology.

Dr. Lord is a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003 and Operation New Dawn in 2011.

Dr. Lord has strong interest in medical informatics and is co-developer of the leading mobile smartphone application in Ophthalmology called “Eye Handbook.”

Eye Handbook has a global audience, with 200k+ downloads and thousands of active users.

Dr. Joshua Carlson

Dr. Carlson earned a bachelor of science in Neuroscience from Brigham Young University and his MD from New York University School of Medicine. He moved to the west coast for his internship at University of California, Irvine and Long Beach VA Medical Center. Dr. Carlson attended Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina for his residency in Ophthalmology. He completed the prestigious two year medical & surgical Retina-Vitreous fellowship at Vanderbilt University Eye Institute in Nashville, Tennessee.

Dr. Carlson is a Diplomat of the American Board of Ophthalmology (ABO). He is a member of the American Society of Retina Specialists (ASRS), and the American Academy of Ophthalmology (FAAO).

Dr. Carlson is an avid outdoors-man, you will often find him out on the many hiking trails of Southern Utah with his family. He is also a plant enthusiast.

Dr. Reed Gibb

Dr. Gibb earned his bachelor of science in Zoology, with a minor in Business at Brigham Young University. He then went on to earn his OD from Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, OR. Dr. Gibb attended the George E. Wahlen Departments of Veteran Affairs Medical Center in Salt Lake City, Utah for his post-graduate residency.  Dr. Gibb's two decades of experience has had a heavy emphasis on geriatric eye care, such as cataracts and glaucoma, as well as retinal diseases, including macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy.  He has been a great addition to our team.

Dr. Gibb spends his time away from the office with his family and enjoys gardening. 

Dr. Gibb is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Utah Optometric Association.
